Diversify Your Food

The right variety and quantity of food intake are crucial and vital to your health. We can divide food into two comprehensive categories:
  1. Oily and Fatty Food
  2. Food containing starch and protein
According to research, you need to have at least 60 types of food to sustain your health.

Oil and fat are digested by the liver enzymes, whereas the enzymes supplied by the pancreas digests starch and protein. If your food intake is restricted to only a few types, you will have a severe problem maintaining appropriate health. A cutback on the diversity of food will always cause several health issues. Long back, a friend of mine used to consume water from only one particular place. He and his wife fell sick soon, and their health was not excellent. I advised them to try out various other places to drink water because the method they were following would only cause more harm.

I advised the couple to take RG, GL and Spirulina to diversify their food. They followed this and their health improved eventually. If you do not diversify your food for a short while, it is acceptable. Your liver can produce those nutrients required for that period of time. If you consume the same type of food every day, you will lack specific nutrients. Your liver will step in to produce these nutrients and will face fatigue in the long run. The liver is the biochemical factory of the body. If it is in fatigue, there will be an imbalance of nutrients and this will cause problems like depression.

In modern life, it is not feasible to follow a diet that contains 60 types of food but in DXN we have a solution.  The Ganoderma and Spirulina that we produce are rich in nutrients. Right now, DXN has also set up a small hanging garden for our members. This gives them the freedom to plant vegetables and mushrooms. It is a compact aquaponic system to cultivate fish and vegetables. This system diversifies your food and also helps in preventing the use of preservatives and other chemicals.

Not only the variety but the quantity of food you consume is also very important. When there is not enough food, the liver has to be overworked. That’s the reason why children suffering from malnutrition have bloated and inflated stomachs, due to the swelling of the liver. Concurrently, you are not supposed to ingest a lot of food either as this can overwork your organs as well. The best way to go about this is to give your first priority to vegetables, followed by fish and other kinds of meat. We advise our members to cut down their consumption of meat by at least 50%. In many cultures, meat is substituted by the consumption of mushrooms. In Germany, they refer to mushrooms as meat from the forest.

DXN sells logs of mushrooms that can be grown by the consumer. We have already started this practice in Malaysia, and we are planning on spreading it all across the world. The next significant development for DXN would be producing ecologically farmed food.

MLM Statistics for 2020

  1. About one in 13 adults have participated in multilevel marketing (MLM).
  2. There are about 6.2 million Americans actively involved in “direct selling.”
  3. The MLM industry grossed $35.4 billion in 2018.
  4. As of 2009, 94.2% of Direct Sellers Association (DSA) members use MLM.
  5. Wellness and cosmetics/personal care are the top direct selling categories.
  6. 52% of MLM participants say the company’s representation of making a profit is “not too accurate” or “not at all accurate.”
  7. At least 50% of MLM participants drop out after one year.
  8. It costs an estimated $25,000 to launch an MLM business.
  9. 66% of MLM participants invest less than $1,000.
  10. Only 25% of MLM participants turn a profit.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy that uses representatives to sell products or services directly to their peers, or to recruit new representatives to act as salespeople for products or services. You’ve probably heard of MLM, also referred to as direct sales or network marketing, even if you didn’t realize it at the time.

You may have heard of MLM described interchangeably with a pyramid scheme. However, MLM is not illegal on its face. As long as MLM is driven by sales, not by the recruitment of individuals, it is legal and more common than you might expect.

While MLM has frequently been portrayed in the media as get-rich-quick scams that prey on the innocent and unsuspecting, there are many, many participants in MLM and it has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry.

Do people actually make money in MLM? What is the actual likelihood of success? Here, we’ve compiled some of the most important MLM statistics for 2020 that will answer these questions and more.

MLM Statistics

1. About one in 13 American adults have participated in multilevel marketing (MLM).

One of the most surprising MLM statistics out there may be how common it is: Nearly 8% of Americans have participated in multilevel marketing in some capacity. Just because no one in your neighborhood has tried to sell a company’s product to you directly doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

2. There are about 6.2 million Americans actively involved in direct selling.

That said, according to the DSA, there are 6.2 million Americans currently participating in MLM. That’s less than 2% of Americans, suggesting that participation rates are decreasing as younger generations come of age.

3. The MLM industry grossed $35.4 billion in 2018.

Despite declining participation, the MLM industry is still remarkably strong. The DSA reports that the industry is still worth more than $35 billion, up from $28 billion in 2009.

4. As of 2009, 94.2% of DSA members use MLM.

The most recent numbers available show that the vast majority of direct selling companies that are members of the DSA use multilevel marketing. In 1990, only 25% of member companies used MLM, which demonstrates how firmly entrenched MLM has become in the direct selling business.

5. Wellness and cosmetics/personal care are the top direct selling categories.

The most popular product categories for direct selling are what you might expect. In 2019, wellness accounted for 33.2% of sales, while cosmetics/personal care accounted for 31.2% of sales. Household goods and durables was a distant third with 12.8% of sales.

Montreal health officials investigate 17 cases of suspected Monkeypox.

Monkeypox is a rare disease that is caused by infection with monkeypox virus. Monkeypox virus belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus in the family Poxviridae. The Orthopoxvirus genus also includes variola virus (which causes smallpox), vaccinia virus (used in the smallpox vaccine), and cowpox virus.

Cases of monkeypox are being investigated in several European countries as well as the US, Canada and Australia, according to health authorities and local media reports.

The new cases were reported in Belgium, France, Australia and Germany.

This follows infections confirmed in Italy, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, the US, Canada and the UK - where the first European case was reported.

Monkeypox is most common in remote parts of Central and West Africa.

Instances of the disease outside of the region are often linked to travel to the area.

Monkeypox is a rare viral infection which is usually mild and from which most people recover in a few weeks, according to the UK's National Health Service.

The virus does not spread easily between people and the risk to the wider public is said to be very low.

What does monkeypox do to people?

In humans, the symptoms of monkeypox are similar to but milder than the symptoms of smallpox. Monkeypox begins with fever, headache, muscle aches, and exhaustion. The main difference between symptoms of smallpox and monkeypox is that monkeypox causes lymph nodes to swell (lymphadenopathy) while smallpox does not.

Where did monkeypox come from?

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, monkeypox was isolated and named in Copenhagen's State Serum Institute laboratory in 1958 and was first identified in humans in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

What is monkeypox infection?

Monkeypox is a viral zoonotic disease that occurs primarily in tropical rainforest areas of Central and West Africa and is occasionally exported to other regions. Monkeypox typically presents clinically with fever, rash and swollen lymph nodes and may lead to a range of medical complications.

MONTREAL, Quebec - Montreal public health officials said on Thursday they are investigating 17 suspected cases of monkeypox virus infections, adding to the growing number of cases of the rare virus reported globally.

Several countries including Portugal and Spain have reported cases of monkeypox in recent weeks, with a US case identified by Massachusetts public health officials on Wednesday in a man who had recently traveled to the Canadian province of Quebec.

Health officials in Quebec's largest city told reporters there was a link between the US case of monkeypox in Massachusetts and a few of the suspected cases in the Montreal region.

Dr. Mylene Drouin, public health director of Montreal, said the cases are not considered severe and are mainly among men who have had sexual relations with men, between 30 to 55 years old.

While public health officials hope to have laboratory confirmation by the weekend, Drouin said there is a good chance cases are due to monkeypox.

"The more that we see the evolution of what's happening around the world, and the link that we have with the case in the US, we suspect that it's a strong possibility," she said.

Dr. Genevieve Bergeron, a medical officer for health emergencies and infectious diseases, said the first suspected case was reported on May 12.

Monkeypox, which mostly occurs in west and central Africa, is a rare viral infection similar to human smallpox, though milder. It was first recorded in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 1970s. The number of cases in West Africa has increased in the last decade.

Symptoms include fever, headaches and skin rashes starting on the face and spreading to the rest of the body.

In the world today, majority of the population are in the state of 'pre-illness' due to environmental pollution, stresses and unhealthy lifestyle such as consuming diets which are high in fats, cholesterol, sugar, salt and chemical additives. Under these circumstances, it is wise to prevent any deterioration in health rather than seek a cure after illness prevails as the saying goes: “Prevention is better than cure.”

Ganotherapy is one of the holistic approached to alternative complementary medicine. The underlying belief is that our body is the best doctor. Our body immune system when at its optimum condition is able to fight numerous diseases at one time, knowing the priority and without having side effects. All we see or feel is the reactions as it gets rid of the toxins and cure the illnesses. In Ganotherapy, it uses Ganoderma extracts from the fruit body and its mycelium to gain health.

The 4 basic principles of Ganotherapy are:
  1. Illnesses are caused by 2 sources; Toxins in our body and disharmony in body functions.
  2. Ganoderma does not cure illness, but it helps to balance up our body system and improve immunity against diseases.
  3. Any reaction that takes place is caused by our body system and not by the intake of Ganoderma.
  4. The dosage of Ganoderma taken is irrelevant to diseases.

Ganoderma is a genus of polypore fungi in the family Ganodermataceae. The Ganoderma described in both ancient and modern times refers to the fruiting body of Ganoderma, which is listed as a top-grade nontoxic medicine that helps prolong the lifespan and does no harm to the body if taken often or for a long period in the Sheng Nong's Herbal Classic. It enjoys the reputation of “Immortal Herb” since ancient times.

The application range of Ganoderma is very extensive. According to the dialectical view of TCM, this medicine is related to the five internal organs and tonifies Qi in the whole body. Therefore people with weak heart, lung, liver, spleen and kidney can take it. It can be used to treat diseases that involve respiratory, circulatory, digestive, nervous, endocrine and motor systems. It can cure various diseases in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology and ENT (Lin Zhibin. Modern Research of Ganoderma Lucidum)

Ganoderma Lucidum Fruiting Bodies

Ganoderma fruiting body is the general name of the whole strain of Ganoderma. It can be ground into powder or cut into pieces. It is mostly used in cook or soaked with water or wine. Ganoderma cap contains very rich in bioactive substances such as Ganoderma polysaccharides and triterpenoids Ganoderic acid.

Ganoderma Lucidum Extract

Ganoderma extract is obtained by extracting Ganoderma fruiting body with water and alcohol. Since it is bitter and easily oxidized and perishable, the storage conditions are strict. The polysaccharides and peptides contained in the water extract of Ganoderma have a positive effect on immunomodulation, anti-tumor, protection against radiotherapy and chemotherapy injury, sedation, analgesia, cardiac stimulating, anti-myocardial ischemia, antihypertension, blood sugar lowering, blood lipid regulation, hypoxia tolerance increasing, anti-oxidation, free radicals cleaning and anti-aging.

Ganoderma alcohol extract and its triterpenoids have the functions of protecting the liver, anti-tumor, analgesia, anti-oxidation, scavenging free radicals, inhibition of histamine release, inhibition of the activity of human ACE, inhibition of cholesterol synthesis, inhibition of platelet aggregation and the like. (Lin Zhibin. "Lingzhi From Mystery to Science")

Medical Principles of Ganoderma:

According to Dr Shigeru Yuji’s clinical experiments, the reason Ganoderma is effective is because of its basic functions.

  1. Lowers cholesterol in the blood and the amount of free fat.
  2. Reduces blood sugar level; to restore pancreas functions.
  3. Lowers blood lipids and stabilizes red cell membrane.
  4. Due to Ganoderma containing Adenosine, it can lower platelet angulation, and lyses thrombi and prevent thrombogenesis.
  5. Improves the function of the cortex of the adrenal glands to maintain endocrine balance.
  6. Elevates the natural healing ability of the body, allows the body to establish a strong immune system.
  7. Prevents tissue cell degeneration.
  8. Prevents senility, maintaining a youthful constitution.
  9. Lowers the side effects of antihypertensive drugs.
  10. Prevents organ degeneration.
  11. Prevents allergy caused by antigens, because it inhibits the histamine releasing mast cell.
  12. Prevents and treats cancer and inhibits cancer cell metastasis.
    1. Normalizes to prevent tissue degeneration.
    2. Prevents sudden death of cancer patients caused by embolism.
    3. Inhibits thrombogenesis and lyses thrombi on the wall of surrounding tissues and removes blockade of cancer medication, increases these drugs’ effectiveness.
    4. Relieves pain caused by cancer.
